a primeira vez que a Inês me fotografou foi há 10 anos atrás! ela já fazia coisas muito bonitas e eu era outra pessoa. era a mesma, claro, mas diferente.

ah querida impermanência! pouco depois desse primeiro disco com a fotografia da Inês, a minha vida mudou como por magia, o mundo escancarou-se à minha frente, braços abertos, ávido por me abrir portas e janelas e deixar o meu coração voar. e eu, sedenta de mundos só então sonhados, deixei-me ir como se não houvesse amanhã. assim continuo… será? a vida está cheia de pequenas e grandes gaiolas, que nos acolhem, onde nos sentimos seguros, e vivemos nelas sem sabermos que não somos livres. às vezes somos livres e vivemos em gaiolas. mas há quem não viva em gaiolas e ainda assim não consiga ser livre.

o melhor seria se pudéssemos entrar e sair das nossas gaiolas quando bem nos apetecesse. afinal, só precisamos de escancarar as portas e deitar fora a chave. ou melhor, o melhor melhor seria se todos pudéssemos voar!

the first time Inês photographed me it was ten years ago! she was already doing very beautiful things and I was someone else. I was the same, of course, but different.

ah dear impermanence! shortly after that first album with that photograph, my life changed as if by magic, the world opened itself widely in front of me, with open arms, eager to open all doors and windows for me and let my heart fly. and I, thirsty for worlds only then dreamed, let myself go as if there was no tomorrow. and that’s how I continue to be… or do I? life is full of small and large cages, which welcome us, where we feel safe, and we live in them without knowing that we are not free. sometimes we are free and live in cages. but there are those who don’t live in cages and still cannot be free.

the best thing would be if we could come and go from our cages whenever we want. after all, we just need to throw open the doors and throw away the key. or rather, the best thing would be if we all could fly!

all it takes is that one first step. the first step encompasses all the freedom one will ever be.
